Mumbai conceded the first innings points to Hyderabad despite scoring 443 in first essay on the back of stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma's well-crafted century and half tons from Hiken Shah, Abhishek Nayar and wicket keeper Aditya Tare.
Bengal dropped vital catches in the field and lost to Madhya Pradesh at Indore by 138 runs, their second outright defeat in four games.
The results have left Mumbai and Bengal third and fifth on points table with 7 and 6 points respectively in the nine-team group with the latter having played one game more.
"We are looking forward to the game against Mumbai in a positive way. We know they are a good side. We have quality bowlers and we will look at them to attack. We look forward to get as many points as we can from this game," said Bengal captain Manoj Tiwary, who is fit to play against Mumbai after recovering from a finger injury.
Bengal will miss Ashok Dinda, included in the Indian Test squad for the third Test in Kolkata against England, and Tiwary said the pace spearhead would be missed.
"We will miss Dinda as he was bowling really well and was adjudged the best bowler in domestic cricket. We have a bowler called Shami (Ahmed) in our side who got a hat-trick in the previous game and got 11 wickets too. Looking at the other bowlers, I will say we have a decent attack."
Tiwary was happy that some grass had been kept on the Brabourne pitch and rued the catches dropped by his side against MP on a green-top.
"There is a little bit of grass on the wicket which is good. In the match against MP, there was a lot of grass and it was a result-oriented pitch. We missed a few catches otherwise result would have been in our favour." More
