Mumbai to host Water Expo 2015 from May 21 to 23

The 12th 'Everything About Water' Expo 2015 will be held in Mumbai between May 21-23 to explore the opportunities in water conservation and recycling.

The expo organised by EA Water Pvt Ltd with the support of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), will showcase latest technologies in the water and wastewater management sector.

Over 300 exhibitors from 21 countries would be showcasing advanced technologies and solutions on water management, a statement issued here said.

Over 20,000 professionals from government, industry, consulting, research and trade community are expected to visit the event.

The Indian water market is growing at over 8 per cent per annum and is likely to reach Rs 82,100 crore by 2015. The fastest growing segments in this sector are drinking water supply, industrial water treatment and waste water recycling. Country pavilions from Canada, Israel, Germany, Italy, United States, China and Belgium will be set up at the exhibition.
 

"Water is the most-needed and largely available resource. Developed countries are exploring means to utilise water as a resource. Globally, the major institutions are focusing on investing in water sector. India is moving in a high pace and the world is keeping a close watch in our country's development," EA Water Pvt Ltd Chief Operating Officer, H Subramaniam, said.

This expo will open up opportunities & also showcase the global technology to the South Asian market, he said.

"Over Rs 40,000 crore investment is expected in the next three years and over one million jobs will be created in this sector," Subramaniam added.
