The post-graduation admission process was also postponed for a long time, as the results were not out in time.
A writ petition was also filed in the Bombay High Court against the varsity. The MU also gave several deadlines to the HC about declaration of results and kept them revising.
The varsity had assured the HC that all the results will be announced by September 19.
Finally this evening, the MU declared results for the remaining eight examinations.
Although the results were announced, the MU is facing the challenge of re-evaluation.
The re-evaluation of answer sheets has been started from Monday. There are 33,000 applicants for re-evaluation while 6,000 students have applied for shadow copy. So it is not yet clear what time it will take for re-evaluation procedure to complete.
During the online evaluation, more than 2,600 answer papers were merged with the answer sheets of other subjects. Out of which 900 answer sheets were found, the search of remaining 1,700 answer papers is currently underway in the varsity.
