Munde declares Rs 38-crore assets

BJP candidate from Beed Lok Sabha constituency Gopinath Munde has declared assets worth Rs 38 crore.

Munde, who filed his nomination papers yesterday, submitted an affidavit to the Returning Officer detailing the assets owned by him and his family which total Rs 38 crore.

The voting in Beed, Central Maharashtra, from where he is seeking re-election, will take place on April 17.

Munde has Rs 6 lakh cash in hand, wife Pradnya Rs 8 lakh and daughter Yashshri has Rs 5 lakh in hard cash, according to the affidavit.

The 66-year-old BJP leader has movable assets of Rs 2.56 crore and these include deposits, shares, gold ornaments and a car. Pradnya's movable assets are valued at Rs 4.49 crore, while daughter Yashshri has Rs 2.39 crore in this category of wealth.
 

Munde has immovable property worth Rs 7.89 crore, Pradnya (Rs 14.25 crore) and Yashshri (Rs 2.25 crore).

The BJP MP also has debts of Rs 3 crore, while his wife has loan amount of Rs 15 crore in her name. Yashshri's debt stood at Rs 1.3 crore, as per the document.
