No victory processions were held in the city today after the verdict on municipal poll was out thanks to the intervention by city police commissioner.
Police Commissioner B Srinivasulau had issued orders against winners of municipal polls organising any marches or meetings after the results.
The orders were issued to avert any untoward incident from happening ahead of the general election results that are scheduled to be declared on May 16.
The winners were also not allowed to burst fire crackers even at their residences and were escorted in police vehicles from the polling stations.
