Delhi Police have submitted a report to Lt Governor Najeeb Jung stating that the ongoing strike of municipal corporation employees is a "potential threat to the law and order situation in the national capital."

The report was prepared by the intelligence unit of the department. It was submitted yesterday to Delhi Police chief B S Bassi, who forwarded it to the Lt Governor, a senior official said today.

"The report states, if the strike is not stopped at the earliest, it can lead to a range of untoward incidents, posing high threat to law and order. Apart from that, it has also become a big problem for smooth flow of traffic in the city," the senior official added.
