Manager of Vuyyuru municipality in Krishna district was arrested today while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000, Anti-Corruption Bureau officials said.
P Radhakrishna had demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a worker in sanitation department for processing file regarding his promotion and sealed the deal at Rs 8,000, following which the employee lodged a complaint, deputy superintendent of police, ACB V Gopalakrishna said.
A trap was laid at the manager's office today and he was caight red-handed accepting the bribe, he added.
