A court today remanded in 14-day judicial custody the accused in the murder case of Hindu Munnani activist Sasikumar.
Sasikumar, district spokesperson of the organisation, was returning home on a two-wheeler when some unidentified assailants chased him on motorcycles and attacked him with sickles on September 22 last year.
He succumbed to injuries at a hospital later.His funeral procession the next day triggered violent protests in Coimbatore.
