Ran Singh, who was held guilty along with his two brothers by a local court yesterday in a 2011 murder case, admitted to have consumed poisonous substance after his health started getting deteriorated, they said.
He was sent to the district hospital but doctors referred him to PGIMS, Rohtak, where he died today, they said, adding that a case of suicide has been registered into the case.
Police suspect that the convict, who was out on bail, could have brought the poison with himself and might have consumed it after the verdict.
