Rahas Behary, elder brother of slain liquor trader and works contractor Binod Behary Das, today sought police protection fearing threat to his life even as no leads were given into the murder at Brahaman Jharilo area of the town on December six.
In a written complaint to police, Rahas Behary stated that he had tender-related differences with one Tulia alias Nigamananda Jena of Jagatsinghpur district way back in 2011.
"The matter was settled by a court in my favour and since then Tulia was harbouring animosity against me", Rahas Behary has said in his complaint pointing the needle of suspicion to Tulia.
"The murder case is under the process of investigation and all possible angles leading to detection of the case are now being examined", city DCP Sanjiv Arora said.
