Jharkhand Governor Droupadi Murmu today stressed on using clean drinking water and protein food to free people from malnutrition.
Saying that malnourishment was a serious problem and that the people were facing it due to weak financial condition and unawareness, Murmu said it was necessary to give special attention in remote areas and among the scheduled tribe people, a Raj Bhavan release said quoting her.
She was taking stock of the work of the nutrition mission.
Principal Secretary to the governor, S K Satpathy, Director General of State Nutrition Mission Mridula Sinha, Secretary, Social Welfare department, M S Bhatia and UNICEF officials were present.
