Mid-sized IT services firm Mindtree today announced the appointment of Apurva Purohit, CEO of Music Broadcast Pvt Ltd that operates Radio City 91.1 FM, to its Board of Directors effective January 1, 2014.
It also announced the election of Parthasarathy N S as Executive Director in addition to his role as the President, Enterprise Service Lines.
Purohit will also become a member of the company's audit committee, a company release said.

Arun Tiwari to be new CMD of Union Bank * Union Bank of India (UBI) today appointed Arun Tiwari as its new chairman and managing director (CMD).
Tiwari was earlier working with Allahabad Bank as executive director.
"...Has informed BSE that...Has appointed Arun Tiwari, Executive Director, Allahabad Bank, as Chairman and Managing Director of Union Bank of India," UBI said in a filing to the BSE.
Tiwari will remain the CMD of the bank from the date of taking over the charge of the post up to June 30, 2017 (the date of his superannuation) or until further order, whichever it earlier, it added.

Nepal SBI ties up with IRCTC for online ticket booking * Nepal SBI Bank, a subsidiary of State Bank of India, today tied up with IRCTC for online ticket booking facility.
This is the first ever arrangement by IRCTC with any foreign banking entity and Nepal will be the only country, outside India, which will have banking channel for payments to IRCTC, Nepal SBI Bank said in a statement.
Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will extend online ticket booking facilities for Railways, hotel air tickets and travel packages, Nepal SBI Bank chief operating officer V K Tyagi said.
The online booking facility would be through Nepal SBI Bank Ltd, it said.
