Music Broadcast Q4 net jumps 261.3% to Rs 16.26 cr

Private FM radio broadcaster Music Broadcast today posted a 261.33 per cent jump in its net profit at Rs 16.26 crore for the quarter ended March 31.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 4.50 crore during corresponding quarter last fiscal, it said in a statement.

Total income during the quarter under review stood at Rs 81.33 crore, compared to Rs 68.23 crore for the same period a year ago.

"The growth in topline was majorly contributed by phase III stations in terms of volume and by legacy stations in terms of yields," its director Apurva Purohit said.

For the year 2017-18, its net profit stood at Rs 51.72 crore, as against Rs 36.66 crore in the previous fiscal.

 

Total income for the year stood at Rs 317.63 crore. It was Rs 275.86 crore in 2016-17.

"Our Phase III stations have seen a break even for fourth quarter much before our estimates and they will have a meaningful contribution to the EBITDA in the quarters to come. Leading agrochemical formulations company Dhanuka Agritech Ltd today registered 14.7 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 28.63 crore for the quarter ended March, as against Rs 24.96 crore in the same period last year.

The company's turnover remained flat at Rs 185.09 crore in quarter under consideration against Rs 182.20 in the corresponding period last year, a company statement said here.

For financial year ended March 31, the company has registered lower turnover of Rs 976.24 crore as against Rs 1,000.77 crore last year.

The profit after tax registered a growth of 3.54 per cent at Rs 126.17 crore over corresponding previous financial year. However, due to GST previous figures are not comparable, it said.

"With this year's favourable monsoon forecast coupled with a slew of initiatives announced by the government, we are hopeful of a much positive performance in the fiscal year 18-19. At the same time, we will remain committed on improving our product mix, ongoing branding initiatives and new product offerings," Dhanuka Agritech managing director M K Dhanuka said.
