Music, performing arts festival near Pune from May 29

A three-day music and performing arts festival will be held at Kolwan near here from May 29 to 31 to mark the birth centenary of spiritual guru Swami Chinmayananda.

The 'Naada Bindu Festival' (NBF) will feature instrumental and vocal music, dance creations along with informative lecture-demonstration sessions as also a 'satsang' with Swami Tejomayananda, global head of of the Chinmaya mission, according to Himanshu Nanda, director of 'Gurukul for Indian Performing Arts' which is hosting the event.

Eminent artistes, including Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, Begum Parveen Sultana, Malini Rajurkar, Abhishek Raghuram and Abhimanyu Lal, will participate in the festival which has the theme - 'Arts As a Lifestyle'.
 

"There will be a subsidised transport from Mumbai and Pune to make it convenient for those who want to come for the festival for which on-line registration is available," Nanda said.
