The meeting was organised at All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) headquarters at Darussalam in Aghapura here.

Eminent religious scholars, community leaders, intellectuals and representatives addressing the gathering condemned the film that had triggered violence in many countries and led to the killing of the US ambassador in Libya.

The meeting flayed the depiction of Muslim community in the film and the caricatures appearing in a French magazine.

Apart from religious clergies, representatives of different political parties participated in the public meeting and registered their protest.
