Members of Muslim community here set ablaze the flag of Pakistan today to express their anger over the attack on Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh in a Lahore jail, which led to his death.

Led by Markazi Seerat Committee, a social organisation, Muslims gathered before the Badi Masjid after the Friday prayers and burnt the Pakistani flag.

"Injustice has been meted out to Sarabjit who was lodged in the jail without proof," said president of the committee Sajid Alim.

Alim warned Pakistan to "desist from such designs".

"Every Indian irrespective of caste or creed is ready to sacrifice his life for the honour of the country," he said.
