Prices of mustard and groundnut oil prices firmed up by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today largely on the back of increased buying by vanaspati mills and retailers to meet ongoing festive season demand.
Linseed oil, in the non-edible section, also went up on increased demand from paint industries.
Traders said pick up in buying by vanaspati mills and retailers against restricted arrivals from producing regions, led to the rise in select edible oil prices.
