Mustard seed futures fall on subdued physical demand

Mustard seed prices rolled down by Rs 19 to Rs 3,936 per quintal in futures trading today on liquidated of positions by the speculators, driven by weak physical demand.

Market players mentioned the fall in mustard seed futures prices to cutting down the bets by traders in pressure of falling demand from oil mills in spot markets after over of festive season.

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange platform, mustard seed delivery for the most traded November month slide by Rs 19 or 0.48 percent to Rs 3,936 per quintal, with an open interest of 36,040 lots.

The delivery for December also slipped by Rs 13 or 0.33 per cent to Rs 3,967 per quintal, having an open interest of 20,260 lots.
