Mustardseed prices slipped by Rs 24 to Rs 3,812 per quintal in futures trading today as speculators cut down their positions amid a weak trend at the domestic physical markets.
Marketmen said cutting down of positions by participants and a weak trend at the spot markets mainly weighed on mustardseed prices at futures trade here.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, mustardseed for delivery in most-active April contracts fell by Rs 24 or 0.63 per cent to Rs 3,812 per quintal, showing an open interest of 40,350 lots.
Mustardseed for delivery in far-month May also lost Rs 22 or 0.56 per cent to Rs 3,872 per quintal and open interest stood at 24,120 lots.
