Mustardseed prices were down by Rs 46 to Rs 4,108 per quintal in futures trading today as participants were cutting down their holdings in tandem with a weak trend at the spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, mustardseed for delivery in far-month June contracts dropped by Rs 46, 1.11 per cent to Rs 4,108 per quintal, having an open interest of 2,230 lots.
Likewise, most-active delivery in April dipped by Rs 12, or 0.30 per cent to Rs 3,999 per quintal, in an open interest of 45,250 lots.
Marketmen said a weak trend at the physical markets on persistent supplies from growing regions against muted demand, kept pressure on mustardseed futures here.
