Cardamom prices fell by 0.74 per cent to Rs 1,150.10 per kg in futures trade today as traders reduced exposure amid easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in far-month November declined by Rs 8.60, or 0.74 per cent to Rs 1,150.10 per kg in business turnover of 44 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in October contracts shed Rs 7.90, or 0.70 per cent to Rs 1,121 per kg in 101 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by traders owing to slackened domestic as well as exports demand in the spot market against ample stocks position on higher supplies from producing belts mainly led to slide in cardamom prices at the futures trade.
