Cardamom prices eased by 0.25 per cent to Rs 709 per kg in futures trading today as participants trimmed positions amid sluggish demand in the spot market.
Furthermore, adequate stocks in the market on higher supplies from producing regions put pressure on cardamom.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in far-month May declined by Rs 1.80, or 0.25 per cent to Rs 709 per kg in a business turnover of 4 lots.

On similar lines, the spice for delivery in April shed 80 paise, or 0.12 per cent to Rs 679.30 per kg in 62 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions on the back of low demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing belts mainly influenced cardamom prices at futures trade.
