Continuing its slide for the third day in a row, cardamom fell by another 0.64 per cent to Rs 820 per kg in futures market today as traders engaged in reducing their holdings.

In addition, tepid domestic as well as exports demand in the spot market against adequate stock position in the physical market fueled the downtrend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in January fell by Rs 5.30, or 0.64 per cent, to Rs 820 per kg, in business turnover of 6 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by participants due to subdued domestic as well as exports demand in the spot market mainly kept cardamom prices lower at futures trade.
