Press Trust of India New Delhi
Copper prices fell by 0.24 per cent to Rs 393.05 per kg in futures market today as speculators trimmed positions, taking negative cues from spot market on subdued demand from consuming industries.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in February moved down by 95 paise, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 393.05 per kg in business turnover of 1,297 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in April was trading lower by a similar margin to Rs 396.30 per kg in 487 lots.

Offloading of positions by participants owing to easing demand from consuming industries in the spot market, mainly weighed on copper prices at futures trade, analysts said.
