Crude palm oil prices fell by 0.34 per cent to Rs 525.20 per 10 kg in futures trading today as participants cut their bets, driven by low demand in the spot market against adequate stocks.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in far-month July declined by Rs 1.80 or 0.34 per cent to Rs 525.20 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 60 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in June contracts shed Rs 1.20 or 0.23 per cent to Rs 526.90 per 10 kg in 66 lots.
Market analysts said offloading of positions by traders amid muted demand in the spot markets against sufficient stocks position on higher supplies from producing belts, led to the decline in crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
