Refined soya oil prices drifted by 0.23 per cent to Rs 641.20 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders reduced positions, driven by a fall in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April month declined by Rs 1.50, or 0.23 per cent to Rs 641.20 per 10 kg with an open interest of 35,700 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in May contracts shed Rs 1.20, or 0.19 per cent to Rs 645.60 per 10 kg in 69,130 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in refined soya oil futures to easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks on higher supplies from producing belts.
