Refined soya oil prices fell 0.57 per cent to Rs 648.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants reduced their exposure, driven by easing demand in the spot market against ample stocks position.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month April fell by Rs 3.75, or 0.57 per cent, to Rs 648.80 per 10 kg with an open interest of 26,430 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in March contracts was trading lower by Rs 3.30, or 0.50 per cent, to Rs 656.10 per 10 kg in 59,820 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by traders owing to slackened demand in the spot market against adequate stocks on increased supplies from growing regions, mainly weighed on refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
