Amid subdued domestic demand and adequate stocks position, refined soya oil prices fell 0.85 per cent to Rs 567 per 10 kg in futures trade in the evening session today.

At National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October was trading down by Rs 4.85, or 0.85 per cent, to Rs 567 per 10 kg with an open interest of 64,270 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in November traded lower by Rs 4.55, or 0.80 per cent, to Rs 565 per 10 kg in 47,700 lots.

Marketmen said besides easing demand at spot market, adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions mainly kept pressure on refined soya oil prices at futures trade.

The exchange opened for the evening session today as it remained closed in the morning for 'Ganesh Chaturthi'.
