Amid subdued domestic demand and sufficient stocks position, refined soya oil prices were lower by 0.83 per cent at Rs 663.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month September fell by Rs 5.55, or 0.83 per cent to Rs 663.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 67,340 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in August contracts shed Re 1, or 0.15 per cent to Rs 649.35 per 10 kg in 5,110 lots.

Analysts said besides sluggish demand in the spot market, adequate stocks position on higher supplies from growing regions mainly weighed on refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
