Muzaffarnagar Riots: Displaced people to get pension benefit

The district authorities have identified 45,245 people for the 'Samajwadi Pension Scheme' which included two thousands riot-hit victims

The state government has decided to extend the benefit of the 'Samajwadi Pension Scheme' to almost two thousand persons displaced due to the Muzaffarnagar riots.

"The benefit of Samajwadi pension scheme would be provided to the displaced families affected by the riots in the district. Some 2,065 people who were displaced because of the riots in Jolla, Paldi, Shafipur, Loee Sarai and other places have filled-up the forms, which will be scrutinised, to provide them the benefit of the scheme," Additional District Magistrate, Indermani Tripathi said.
