Actress Cate Blanchett insists she is nothing like her materialistic character in new movie 'Blue Jasmine', and the things most valuable to her is her family.

The 44-year-old actress says she finds joy in life by being a mother and wife, reported Contactmusic.

Blanchett, who has sons Dashiell, 11, Roman, nine, and Ignatius, five, with husband Andrew Upton, said, "I suppose the difference between me and Jasmine is my life is based on things that are fundamentally real - my relationship, my relationship with my children.

"I think the big regret in Jasmine is that she never did anything with her life. There's so much self-loathing in her, and I find that quite moving," she said.

The 44-year-old star's powerhouse performance in the film has made her an early contender to win the Best Actress prize at the Oscars next year, but the Australian actress remains humble about her chances.
