Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani feels it is honourable to wear his clothes on the red carpet because the Armani brand is prestigious.
The 78-year-old veteran designer said his eponymous label, which he founded in 1974, is a mark of honour for today's celebrities because it means they have personally opted to wear his elegant gowns on the red carpet, reported Contactmusic.
"It's a business. Although nowadays wearing something by Armani is more prestigious, I think - because with so many other brands you know that it has been paid for.
"So if you see someone wearing Armani, you know it is the choice of the celebrity. It is honourable," he said.
