Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks says his marriage to Rita Wilson does not require "vast work" as they get along well.
The 60-year-old star, who met the actress when they were in high school, says though people think it is hard to maintain a relationship in the public eye, he and his wife complement one another very well, reported Femalefirst
"People say, 'Jeez, it must be hard to stay married in show business. I think it's hard to stay married anywhere, but if you marry the right person, it might work out. We give each other a natural sense of support for whatever the other wants to pursue.

"Our marriage doesn't require vast work. We have been married 28 years and dig each other a lot," he said.
Last year, Wilson underwent a double mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgery after being diagnosed with breast cancer, and her husband is overwhelmed by her bravery.
"All I can do is bow down before the courage of my wife," Hanks said.
