DMK legislator Siva V Meyyanathan Friday said his name was included in an RSS event without his permission and warned of legal action against those who did it to "besmirch" his name.
The RSS, has, however, refuted the allegation.
Asserting that he has not and will never participate in any RSS function, Meyyanathan dubbed the outfit "communal."
"Some have conspired to besmirch my good name and that of the party by including my name in an RSS event...my name was included in the invitation without my permission," he claimed in a statement.
Condemning those who included his name, he said, "stringent legal action will be taken against them."
The MLA, however, did not specifically name any office-bearer of the RSS or anyone else over inclusion of his name in the invite.
When contacted, an RSS spokesperson here said,"we deny the MLA's allegation outright," but did not elaborate.
The event is scheduled to be held at Pudukottai district on October 14.
