A quick question and answer session with fans following the update also followed, as she teased more information about what we can expect from the upcoming release.
The album's first single will be released in 2016, the album itself won't feature more than 12 songs, and that while there may not be a deluxe version being planned, fans will be treated to a making-of documentary.
Azalea is working on her new album following the cancellation of her delayed 'Great Escape' tour, which was scheduled for later this year.
Speaking of the decision, the rapper explained: "I've had a different creative change of heart. I want to start totally anew, and if I stayed on my tour, that would mean I wouldn't even be able to start working on that until after Christmas."
Earlier this week, Demi Lovato confirmed that Azalea will be featuring on the singer's new album, saying "it would be an honour" to have her friend collaborate with her.
