MyAgriGuru app builds user base of 1 lakh farmers

Mahindra Agri Solutions (MASL) today said its digital farmer advisory service, 'MyAgriGuru', has built a user base of 1.20 lakh farmers and become one of the fastest growing apps in the agriculture space.

MyAgriGuru offers features like information on agri buzz, crop, market price and weather. Agri buzz offers an open discussion platform which allows farmers to interact with other members of their community and agri-experts connected to the app.

Ashok Sharma, President - Agriculture Sector and MD & CEO - MASL, said, "MyAgriGuru app has been developed with an objective to achieve Mahindra's overall vision of delivering farmtech prosperity and to support government's target to double farmer income by 2022.
 

"Our 1.20 lakh user base, within five months of launch, is a testimony to the effectiveness of this tool."

DPLI launches Facebook chatbot to help clients buy policies

DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance (DPLI) today launched a 24x7 Facebook messenger chatbot to assist customers with the purchase, policy servicing and claims of its health insurance plan -- Dengue Shield.

DPLI claims to be the first life insurer in India to engage bot technology to enable customers to buy a product.

"The chatbot bot 'RIA' is a step towards making easy to use technology and communication medium to customers who would like to obtain information and help them in making decision to buy Dengue Shield, a traditional fixed benefit individual health insurance plan, on the go within the Facebook platform itself," DPLI MD and CEO Anoop Pabby said.

EquiPPP ties up with Kalamandir Foundation for CSR projects

Bodhtree Consulting Ltd, an IT consulting and software services provider, has said its CSR platform EquiPPP.Com has signed an agreement with Kalamandir Foundation for identifying corporate social responsibility projects and their initial assessment.

The platform will offer services to large corporations and government agencies, NRIs, investment community and provide research by tying up with reputed institutes and executives, the company said.

There is a huge opportunity in CSR for both governments, public and medium to large corporates to bring in much needed change in the society across sectors like healthcare, education, housing, water, green power, poverty alleviation and environmental protection, it said.
