Myanmar national lynched

A Myanmar national was lynched by

irate villagers in Zawngin hamlet in Aizawl district for attacking a 12-year-old girl with a machete on Monday evening, police said today.

Liankhansanga of Tahan town in Myanmar hit Lalrinsangi with his machete on her shoulder resulting in the angry villagers nabbing the attacker while trying to flee the village.

The local leaders intervened and informed the police officials in nearby Saitual town and the latter brought Liankhansang to Saitual and admitted him in the primary health centre the same night.

He succumbed to his injuries yesterday and a murder case was registered at Saitual Police Station.
 

His body, if remains unclaimed, would be buried in the cemetery of Saitual Chhim Veng locality.
