Mystery shrouds over the death of a Hindi Daily journalist Hari Prakash, whose body was recovered by the Katkumdag Police from a field near village Kud close to Hazaribag railway station in Hazaribag district today.

District Superintendent of Police Bhimsen Tuti told reporters here it seems to be a case of suicide as the police have recovered a suicide note near the body.

However, Jitan Mahato, Prakash's father, suspected it to be a case of murder after abduction of his son, who was missing since December 30 last year.

Jitan alleged Hari Prakash left home in the afternoon of December 30 informing them that he was proceeding to his office, but never returned.

An FIR was lodged by Jitan accusing one Preeti Agarqal, an employee at Hazaribag Sadar Hospital and one Md Ismail alias Babloo for the journalist's disappearance.

Stating that his son was abducted and murdered before the body was dumped near the railway station, Jitan demanded a thorough probe in the case

The SP has ordered an investigation to be conducted by a DSP rank officer.

The post-mortem of Hari Prakash was conducted today and the viscera of the decease preserved for forensic examination at Ranchi.
