The two officials, working in the Irrigation Department in Talwara town in Hoshiarpur district, were missing since yesterday, police said here today.
The officials are 56-year-old Madan Lal, Superintendent of BBMB, Power Wing, Talwara, and Sudhir Kumar (52), a clerk in Shah Nehar Office.
Madan Lal's car in which they went to Dera Surahiwala Baba in Himachal Pradesh was found abandoned near Shikha Hotel, Shah Nehar, police said.
Mobile phones of Madan Lal and Sudhir Kumar were also found in the car.
Sudhir last evening went to Madan Lal's office and both of them told their families that they were going to the Dera in the car, police said.
Thereafter, they did not contact their families.
A missing report had been filed in this connection, police said.
