Mytrah Energy today said it has signed an MoU with Birla Institute of Technological Sciences (BITS) Pilani, Hyderabad Campus for collaborative research and development initiatives in renewable energy area.
According to a statement issued by Mytrah, the partnership will focus on areas of product development, research, technical support as well as training and development.
"The MoU includes software and hardware development, faculty consultancy projects and fellowship for students working on the joint projects. As part of this collaboration, joint initiatives pertaining to big data analytics, condition monitoring and foundation analysis for wind turbines would be pursued further," it said.

"BITS-Pilani is committed to the development of such a resource pool from its budding engineers. Industry-institute partnership in projects at different levels is part of BITS-Pilani's continuous engagement with the outside world. It provides students and faculty opportunities to work on live projects catering to societal needs. The partnership with Mytrah Energy is an initiative in this direction," he said.
Vikram Kailas, MD and CEO, Mytrah Energy said, industry-academia collaboration is critical for a technology leap in renewable energy in India and globally the wind industry has accelerated big data usage and India, too, needs to move swiftly in the same direction for efficient, cost-effective and smarter solution offering.
"As part of our ongoing engagement with universities in India and abroad, Mytrah's partnership with BITS Pilani is yet another initiative towards leveraging synergies for advancements in the sector," Kailas said.
