A 13-member team of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) will visit Himachal Pradesh University from October 3 to October 6 for its assessment.
The University was given B grade in last two inspections by NACC and it is striving hard to get the A grade.
The university has appointed 60 teachers recently and 153-day-long chain hunger strike by SFI was called of ahead of NAAC inspection.

The University is pinning hopes on its new innovations, implementation of semester and RUSA system, nominated Students Central Association (SCA) and memorandum of understanding signed with various organisations for improvement of grade, Vice chancellor Prof A D N Bajpai said.
Expansion plans of the University are in place and the second campus was coming up at Ghanahatti near Shimla while a Regional Centre is being set up at Mohal in Una district.
