The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development today said it extended financial support of Rs 7,426 crore to Haryana during 2014-15, a growth of 13 per cent over the previous year.
The financial support included refinance of Rs 697 crore towards investment credit for capital formation in agriculture and rural economy covering farm and non-farm sector activities to commercial, cooperative and regional rural banks (RRB), NABARD said in a press release.
Also, Rs 5,844 crore was provided to cooperative banks and RRBs to meet the short-term credit needs of farmers.

NABARD also sanctioned 115 projects amounting to Rs 656 crore in Haryana to develop rural infrastructure under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF-XX) during 2014-15.
It included 31 rural roads, 64 irrigation projects and construction of College of Dairy Science and Technology, Hissar, it said.
During the year 2014-15, Rs 468 crore was released under RIDF for creation of rural infrastructure.
