Nabha jailbreak mastermind Parminder sent to Punjab

Alleged mastermind of daring Nabha jailbreak Parminder Singh, who was lodged in a district jail here, was sent to Punjab today on a production warrant from an Ambala court.

Ambala Deputy SP Manprit Singh, who had come here with a Punjab Police team to take Parminder to the city, said he would be produced in the court tomorrow.

Parminder was arrested from Kairana yesterday and was sent to 14-day judicial custody by a court in Shamli district for keeping illegal arms and cheating and forgery.

Police have booked Parminder under sections 25/27 of Arms Act and 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 467 (Forgery of valuable security, will, etc.), 468 (Forgery for purpose of cheating) and 471 (Using as genuine a forged document) of IPC.
