A scheduled rally of Union Health Minister J P Nadda in Ansari Nagar area under prestigious New Delhi constituency was today cancelled.

He was scheduled to address the rally to campaign for Nupur Sharma, BJP's candidate against AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal.

However, organisers said Nadda could not come as he had to attend some meeting with a central leader of the party.

"We got a call around 4.10 PM that the Minister has left for the rally and will reach in about 20 minutes. But his office later informed that he had to attend a meeting," said a BJP leader.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan reached the venue after some time and met a group of part-time employees of AIIMS who were waiting to meet Nadda. They handed over a representation to Pradhan.

Another scheduled rally of Nadda was called off yesterday.
