In a novel gesture, Union minister J P Nadda today stopped his carcade to help an accident victim avail an ambulance.
The Health Minister was on his way to Palampur from the Kangra airport to attend a party meeting to be addressed by BJP chief Amit Shah when he saw a person lying by the roadside.
He immediately halted his motorcade and called the ambulance. He waited on the spot until the ambulance arrived. The injured man was then rushed to R P Medical College, Tanda (Kangra).

A few minutes after the minister left for Palampur, another ambulance was halted as a large number of people had gathered near Ghaggar area to welcome him.
As soon as he heard the hooter, Nadda immediately stopped his car and asked the supporters to clear way for the ambulance.
