A group of 16 children from Nagaland are here in Kolkata on a goodwill tour organised by the Army under Operation Samaritan.
The group from Ghaspani, near Dimapur, today interacted with Lt Gen Raman Dhawan, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Bengal Area.
Recalling his earlier stints while serving in Nagaland and Manipur, Gen Dhawan remembered similar excursions for the children that were launched by him.
After speaking to the students who are on their maiden outing from their native place, Gen Dhawan gave them gifts and mementos.
