The Nagaland Legislative Assembly today adopted a five-point resolution on the Naga political issue.
After discussing the issue for two days on July 23 and July 24, the House today unanimously reiterated the earlier resolutions of the Assembly dated December 12, 1964, August 28, 1970, September 16, 1994 and December 18, 2003, demanding integration of all contiguous Naga-inhabited areas under one administrative umbrella, and to urge upon the Centre to fulfil the same.
The House also urged the Centre and the NSCN(K) to resume the ceasefire agreement and to create a more peaceful and congenial atmosphere for the smooth progress of the Naga political dialogue.
