Nagaland Assembly passes state budget,House adjourned sine die

The Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) today passed the Rs 1,437.84 crore deficit budget for 2017-18 fiscal.

Chief Minister Shurhozelie Liezietsu had presented the budget on March 28 in the Assembly, which was passed by voice vote in the House.

The Nagaland Appropriation (No.2) Bill, 2017 was also passed in the House.

Subsequently, Speaker Imtiwapang Aier adjourned the session sine die after announcing the constitution of various financial and non-financial committees and panel of chairmen for 2017-18.
