The Centre has assured the Nagaland Government of taking important projects listed by the state on priority and also addressing funding issues if any project had budget constraints.
The Centre's assurance to the state came after Nagaland Chief Minister T R Zeliang called on Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Jitendra Singh yesterday.
"Jitendra Singh assured Zeliang that all the priority projects listed by the Nagaland government would be taken up on priority.

"And wherever there are constraints of budget, effort will be made to work out alternative sources of funding or to modify the projects accordingly," an official release said today.
Nagaland was always high on the priority of Centre's support because of its peculiar cultural and topographical constraints, Singh told Zeliang.
During the meeting, Zeliang along with other issues also discussed Nagaland's other two priority projects-upgradation of road from Wokha Town to Longidang the construction of a road from Chuchuyimla to Yali in the state.
