The Governor and Chief Minister of Nagaland today condoled the death of former President A P J Abdul Kalam and offered prayers for him.
Conveying condolences to the kith and kin of the former president, state Governor P B Acharya said the human side of Kalam's personality was legendary as his scientific acumen.
His contribution to the nation as a prominent scientist, educationist and writer are worth remembering, Acharya said adding that his death is a great loss to the nation and the world.

Chief Minister T R Zeliang in his message said the people of Nagaland fondly remember his visit to the state and joined the country in grieving the loss of a powerful personality, who was not only known as the 'Missile Man of India' but also as the Peoples' President and made the country proud.
Kalam's contributions to the country will be remembered for all times to come, he added.
